CITY CLERK –
Now accepting applications for the position of City Clerk. Primary responsibilities will be tax collection – Surtax, Occupational, Real Property, and Personal Property. Maintaining databases to support collection activities. Publication of Ordinances and information relative to PVA. Correspondence with city businesses and residents regarding tax collections. Daily support activities for department managers, and Administrative Officer as well as phone support for questions from residents or professional organizations requiring tax information. Entering code enforcement issues into the MetroCall system, and sending code enforcement letters to properties owners when issues arise. Telephone support for Mayor and other staff members. Publication of Quarterly newsletters. Any other assigned tasks as directed by the Mayor or the Administrative Officer.
Applicant should have experience using the Microsoft Office Suite of applications – Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Publisher. Some exposure to Quickbooks will be required as this position will occasionally be required to assist with deposits. Incumbent should be familiar with office operations, generally accepted business practices, and accounting principles. Salary range for this position is $11 to $15 based upon experience.

CITY COUNCIL PERSON –
Nominations are now being accepted for a vacant City Council position.
To obtain a nomination packet please call City Hall or stop by the offices during normal working hours. Nominees should be available to meet with other City Council members on the night of May 1st, 2018 at 6:00pm at City Hall. This will allow nominees to gain a better understanding of the position responsibilities and council members the opportunity to interview each of the nominees. This is the night of Council Working session so attendees will also get a glimpse of the active projects for Council and the Mayor.
